The Polson Rural Fire District was established in 1960. Today, we serve 200 square miles of Lake County, Montana -- north from the City of Polson (which is served by Polson Fire Department) to Big Arm, and west to Irving Flats. Our new Station #4 serves the industrial area south of Polson. PRFD has a five-member Board that oversees our operation with the help of a volunteer Secretary/Treasurer. We have one paid staff member (our fire chief) and a great crew of volunteer officers and firefighters, who are committed to the goal of safely and swiftly serving rural Polson, Montana.
We thank our volunteers and residents for supporting this work.
